(HARTFORD, CT) – The Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan Tribes today released the latest component of their digital campaign calling attention to the more than 1,700 local businesses and thousands of jobs that benefit from work at Connecticut's two casinos. The spot highlights for viewers the risk that a Springfield, MA casino will present to Connecticut’s economy and to the many people who depend on employment and stability for themselves and their families with jobs at in-state facilities.
According to a study by renowned economist Clyde Barrow, Connecticut stands to lose 9,300 jobs and more than $100 million in revenue when the MGM facility opens in Springfield.
